Halloween Parade & Activitites

October 31

On Friday, October 31st, students and staff will have the opportunity to wear their costumes or dress in black and/or orange for the day. The day is meant to provide a safe and fun experience for everyone, therefore costumes should reflect our Catholic values and beliefs and not depict violence, excessive gore, blood or anything inappropriate or derogatory.

For safety reasons, props such as swords or any “look alike” weapons are not permitted. It is also recommended that students not bring accessories such as wands, tiaras, etc., as these items may end up left behind or lost at school.

This will also be a nutrition exempt day, but please be advised that any snacks/treats you child may bring in MUST be peanut/tree nut free (as indicated on the label) and cannot be homemade. A balance of healthy snacks and treats is always encouraged! Also, if sending Halloween treats as snacks in your child’s lunches after Halloween, please ensure they are peanut/tree nut free as well.

The St. Patrick Halloween Committee is pleased to present our annual FAMILY PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST. Each family is invited to carve a pumpkin at home and bring it for display on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31st. We ask that only ONE pumpkin be submitted by each family. Each pumpkin will be assigned a number and it will be placed on display. Each class will visit the display throughout the day and staff and students will have the opportunity to vote for their top 3 choices. We will tally all votes and announce the three winners by the end of the day.

The three categories are: Most CREATIVE, SCARIEST and FUNNIEST.

Please note that pumpkins depicting violence will not be placed on the display. If your family wishes to enter our contest, please bring your pumpkin to school on Friday, October 31st between
8:15 and 8:45 a.m. We ask that you take your pumpkin home at the end of the day. We hope that you can participate
in our contest and that your family has many exciting and fun moments collaborating and creating together!
